Certified Application Procedures

Go to:  www.teachgeorgia.org and complete the application.  You may forward a letter of interest and a resume to the Personnel Department, but this is not in lieu of completing the online application through TeachGeorgia.

1.  View any openings within the system at www.teachgeorgia.org OR through the Current Job Openings link through the Personnel Department page on the system website. 
2.  Forward your resume and letter of interest to the Personnel Department.

1.  View any current job openings through the Current Openings Link.
2.  Fill out an application accessible through this website and forward to the Board of Education at 10 Van Wert Street, Buchanan, GA 30113  OR pick up an application at the Board of Education and return it to the Personnel Department

**Secretarial and Bookkeeping applicants should include a resume.

1.  How will I know about job openings in the school system?

Job postings are placed on the system website under Current Job Openings and at www.teachgeorgia.com .


2.  How do I apply for a job in Haralson County?

Applications may be submitted for specific jobs (certified) through the www.teachgeorgia.com website.  Applications may also be submitted by completing the application accessible through the system website and mailing it to 10 Van Wert Street, Buchanan, Georgia 30113 Attention:  Personnel.


3.  When are jobs posted?

The majority of certified (teachers, administrators, paraprofessionals) are posted beginning in February and ending in early June.  Periodically throughout the school year, growth dictates a need for additional personnel.  It is always good to regularly check the system website at www.haralson.k12.ga.us and www.teachgeorgia.com for job updates.

4.  How will I be notified for an interview as a prospective employee with Haralson County Schools?

The Personnel Department will notify you for interview personally - usually by phone contact.  Applicants are chosen for interviews based on experience, education, and skills relative to the essential job functions described in the job postings.

5.  How long do applications stay on file?

Applications are kept for one calendar year from the date applied.  After one year, it will be necessary for interested applicants to resubmit an application for consideration.

Employee applications are kept indefinitely.  If you wish to reenter the system, however, you will be required to resubmit an updated application, references, and applicable certification documentation.
